Went ultralight jigging in 62 degree Sturgeon Pond this evening in the cold rain. Air temp was only 51 degrees. Nobody was there. Only caught and released a black crappie with a 1/32 oz twister tail leadhead jig on 2 lb test line. Lost a jig on the bottom of the pond. Saw bubbles then a big fish jumped. Got weeds on the lure nearly every cast. Saw Canada geese, 5 wood ducks, turtles, robins, blackbirds and a deer. Took 3 pics. Probably won’t return. May not go to Turnmill Pond also. Will try Veterans Park Lake soon.
