crc 32 calculator
the CRC (cyclic redundancy check) is used in storage devices and digital networks as
an error-detecting code to detect abnormal changes to raw data.
After you entered Blocks of data, you get a short check code value which is based on the remainder of a polynomial division of the data.
If on the retrieval phase, the calculation is repeated and the check code values do not match, the corrective action can be used against data corruption.
CRCs get its name because the check code (data verification) value is a redundancy(it expands the message without adding information) and the whole algorithm is based on cyclic codes.
CRCs are popular because it is quite simple to implement in both hardware and software, and it is quite useful in detecting common errors caused by noise in transmission channels, and easy to analyze mathematically, because the the check value has a fixed length,it is also used as a hash function.
