    Shooting a video with Tim Hockenberry in studio C. This is a great sounding project with Matt Chamberlain on drums, Sebastian Steinberg on bass, Ryan Lerman on Guitar and Tim Hockenberry on keys and vocals. We will be putting up the video in the very near future. Tim has a must hear voice very rare and very cool.

    Today, Eliquate returns to Prairie Sun to track in Studio B with one of our talented engineers Isha Erskine. Eliquate is an independent alternative hip-hop, beat-rock band from Santa Cruz, California, that tours all over the country, most frequently on the West Coast. They have preformed with acts such as: Murs, Del the Funky Homosapien, Zion-I, and RJD2, and are known for their party-vibe and socially and politically conscious lyrics. Eliquate consists of: Elliot Wright (MC, frontman), Jamie Schnetzler (guitar,production), Cosmo Stevens (bass), Dan Wells (drums), and Tanner Christiansen (Samples/Monome, Keys, Percussion).

    Killer alt rock band Oranguhtango spent some time with us this past weekend working on there first Ep. Huge vocals, ripping guitars, thumpin' bass, furious drums and studio manager Andrew engineering. This band is great live so be sure to catch them soon. We will be mixing in the upcoming weeks and hopefully will have some audio for everyone very soon!

    Michael Lee Firkins spent a few days last week in Studio B mixing his upcoming record titled “YEP” with engineer Alan Hertz. They tracked basics live to tape with Matt Abts on drums and Andy Hess on bass from Govt. Mule, in addition Chuck Leavell from the Rolling Stones played keys on the record. Be on the lookout for Michael’s new release “YEP” to come out in March.

    Too Noisy Fish have been working with Oz Fritz here at Prairie Sun, tracking the last couple of days down in studio C. Too Noisy Fish is an amazing piano trio from Belgium and consists of: Peter Vandenberghe: piano/composites, Kristof Roseeuw: contrabass and Teun Verbruggen: drums. Too Noisy Fish have impeccable musicianship combined with a spectacular sound. Oz is currently in our studio B for today and tomorrow working on the mixes and we are very excited to hear the finished product.
