When the music is ready, you won't have to ask for it

Rihanna has teased that her long-awaited new album isn’t too far away.

The 30-year-old singer is believed to be working on a follow-up to 2016’s ‘Anti’, amid reports that it will see her heading in a reggae influenced direction.

Responding to a fan on Instagram recently, she confirmed that new music is definitely on the way – but she’s having to juggle it with multiple other projects.

“I know I know sis,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m doing music. Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy.”

She added: “When the music is ready, you won’t have to ask for it. “But it’s coming. Just not today sis. I’m hype too tho, it can’t come soon enough.”

Elsewhere, it was recently claimed that a documentary tracking Rihanna’s journey to super-stardom will hit cinemas very soon.

After being first touted in 2015, director Peter Berg says that the project will hit cinemas later this year.

“I think she’s an extraordinary young woman and it really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes in to making her this talent that she is”, he told SlashFilm in August.

“The work ethic, the talent, luck, the hustle, the vision. She’s a really, really interesting woman and the movie will be out in about a month and half, two months we’ll be able to start showing it.”
