The CMDWN—a rock/R&B hybrid band hailing from a small town outside of Salt Lake City, UT—would like everyone to stop and smell the “Ro$es.”

Actually, they’d like everyone to stop and listen to the “Ro$es,” and watch the video for “Ro$es,” as it’s the latest single off of their debut EP, Doubt, which will be released on August 19.

When it comes to the song, the band’s Andy Hale says that, musically, “(‘Ro$es’) indicates how broad our scope really is. We don’t set out to make each song sound a certain way, we just develop any ideas that we all like and fall in love with. This song sounds very, very different from our other releases, and we want people to know that The CMDWN will not be a band to write the same song over and over again.”

He adds that with the video, “We wanted to take a more compelling, artistic approach to the visuals for ‘Ro$es.’ We love pushing our boundaries and trying styles we haven’t tried before, so we made a video that’s very different from our others. Our guitarist, River (Wilde), did half of the filming, all of the editing, and it came out to be exactly what we wanted.”
