Chance the Rapper's "Angels" video features animation by Hebru Brand Studios. He flies as if shot out of a cannon and lands on a running L train in Chicago. But the video comes to life not because of special effects, but when people start dancing. Folks freestyle aboard the train where Chance sits. And after sundown, he and Saba spin, dab and hit the nae nae on the streets. "Angels" has Chance boasting of Chicago being his, though somewhat by default. "I got the city doing front flips / when every father, mayor, rapper jump ship," he begins. But the video leaves zero room for doubt that this city is his playground, and he thrives there.
