The R&B singer shared a heartwarming message about late father.
Following the death of Alan Thicke on Tuesday (December 13), the Growing Pains star's son, Robin Thicke, expressed how he felt via social media.
He wrote in a post on Instagram, "My Father passed away today. He was the best man I ever knew. The best friend I ever had. Let's all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love. Love, your grateful son."
He also talked to the LA Times last night and said, "The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure,” the R&B singer said. "I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him."
Alan Thicke suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his son, Carter. He was immediately brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
