Christmastime has come early for fans of the iconic band.

Starting December 24 at 12:01 am local time, you'll be able to stream music by none other than the Beatles. All 13 of the band's original albums, plus some post-1970s compilations, will be available at Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Tidal among others.

The Beatles likely waited to do this for two reasons: The band wanted the right distribution deal, where streaming services would pay "a significant sum of money to rights holders." (Artists make significantly less through streaming than album sales.) High-quality audio, as promoted by Tidal and Deezer, also hasn't been available until now.

"Sound quality is everything we work for at Abbey Road," Giles Martin, son of original Beatles producer George Martin, says to Fast Company.
