Never mind that she turned 27 this past May.

Yes, Adele's third album is called 25, as she announced this morning. Let's be real—this news isn't all that surprising. The British superstar named her first two albums, 2008's 19 and 2009's 21, after the year in her life that it chronicles, so it makes sense that she would keep with tradition. Fortunately she also explained her logic on Twitter, as if to drive home that she isn't simply going with what works.

Rumour Has It from ADELE on Myspace.

"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record," Adele says. "I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to.

"What's done is done. Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my twenties. Teetering on the edge of becoming a old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult. I made the decision to go into becoming who I'm going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk."

While Adele has yet to announce 25's release date, Hits Daily Double says to expect it during the second week of November.
