Upon forming in 2002, the members of Connecticut straight-edge band With Honor (vocalist Todd Mackey, guitarist brothers Jay and Jeff Aust, bassist Jack Caron, and drummer John Ross) lived by a strict code of ethics, including a drug-free, vegetarian lifestyle that fueled the brief metalcore bursts heard in their 2004 debut for Stillborn Records, Heart Means Everything.
The band kept up a busy tour schedule, playing dates with bands like Hatebreed and Comeback Kid, along with various festivals like the New England Metal Fest and Hellfest. The Split EP with intrastate pals the Distance surfaced in January 2005, and in June of that year, With Honor hit the studio with producer Brian McTernan (Bane, Thrice) to begin work on their debut for Victory Records, This Is Our Revenge, released in October 2005. Dates that fall with Most Precious Blood followed. With Honor announced the amicable departure of Mackey in early 2006; he was soon replaced by ex-Scream Out vocalist/Sick of It All tech Kevin "Whitey" White and touring resumed, including several weeks in Europe with Ignite. Things didn't exactly last, however, and With Honor played its last show together that November. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
