A Brooklyn-based indie rock group influenced by the psychedelic/garage and new wave/post-punk eras, Clairaudience formed in Sydney, Australia in 2005 around core members Caroline and Danny Jumpertz.
With the lineup of Jumpertz, Jumpertz, Susan Harman, and Greg Stone, they released eight tracks of instrumental psych-rock called Powwow Three in 2007 as part of a new music series by Danny's label, Feral Media.

The couple moved to New York in 2010 and, amid careers in music, journalism, and broadcasting, continued to play shows and record with a rotating lineup. They brought in bass player Kerrii Cavanagh and guitarists Heidi Patalano and Franzi Szymkowiak for a 2015 cassette EP titled Sun Damage. Influenced by the post-punk of his youth, Danny Jumpertz then made his solo debut in early 2016 with the EP Dream Worlds.

Clairaudience's official full-length debut, Clairaudience, was recorded by Abe Seiferth (Yeasayer, Car Seat Headrest) with Danny, Caroline, Patalano, and Szymkowiak, and arrived later in 2016 via Feral Media. ~ Marcy Donelson
