London-based hard rockers Voodoo Six got their start in the summer of 2003, conceived by bassist Tony Newton and guitarist Richie Faulkner following a brief stopover by Newton in Los Angeles for production work.
Upon his return to England, he and Faulkner found the others who would bring their rock dreams to life: drummer Dave "Grav" Cavill, vocalist Henry Rundell, and second guitarist Matt Pearce. Voodoo Six began playing the club circuit and in 2005 received the honor of performing with Iron Maiden at London's Hammersmith Apollo. The following year, the band hit up various big European festivals, building momentum toward the August release of its debut album, Feed My Soul, which was released through White Knuckle/Filthy Lucre Recordings. The album was preceded by the early summertime single "Crawl," as Voodoo Six began receiving stylistic comparisons to groups like Audioslave, Guns N' Roses, and Alice in Chains. ~ Corey Apar
