The woman behind gospel hits like "Because of Who You Are," "The Mercy Seat," and "Under the Blood," singer, songwriter, and worship leader Vicki Yoh'e was born in Normal, Illinois, raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, and spent her teen years in Hammond, Louisiana.
In 1992 she released her self-titled debut album, while 1995 saw her join the major label-associated imprint Giant with her album I Give You Me. In 2003 she joined CeCe Winans' label Pure Springs Gospel with the album I Just Want You; then she moved to the Shanachie family with her 2009 effort, Reveal Your Glory: Live from the Cathedral. The label released Free Worshipper: A Praise and Worship Experience in 2013. ~ David Jeffries
