Tsukiko Amakawa
The pianist, composer, and improviser Japanese Amakawa is an emblematic figure of the creative freedom that has combined in the most remote music influences with a drastic revision of popular music from theelectronics, collage and chambercompositions, being one of the composers and multi-instrumentalists most unique European music scene.

She bigan studying at the age of six, and was subsequently chosen best pianist in the Tsurugaoka High School/Art Program-Music Department. Graduate NihonUniversity/Art Faculty-Music Department-Piano course in 1988.

Learns composing, History of music, choral music, musicology, ethnical music, harmony, pedaggical music, etc....until she enters the world of modern composition and popular modern music, and gets to conduct the Niiza Brass Band (Saitama-Japan).

After performing in Asia and Europe, she settles in Spain where she starts working with musicians as Markus Breuss, Pelayo.F.Arrizabalaga.

Since 2001 she is the founder member of Doronko Records.

She has worked with Akemi Murakami, Yukiko Yamagami, Kenji Seshita, Markus Breuss, Pelayo F. Arrizabalaga, Llorenç Barber, Peter Kowald, Montserrat Palacios, Javier Carmona, Per Gärdin, Javier Denis, Ajo, Jazznoise, Kim Kristensen, Oori Shalev, La banda municipalde Barcelona, La banda la unio musical d´Aielo (Valencia), WIN Zug(Zug/Switzerland), Orquesta de F.O.C.O.(Madrid), Omega (Orquestra de Música Espontánea de Galicia), The Time Span Band (Copenhagenn/Denmark) among others.

For the time being she is involved both in the Faktor Bossar Project as in the Breuss-Arrizabalaga Quintet, Total Vibretion.

She is Co-Organizer of Festival Improvisacion libre de Málaga (FIL MALAGA).
