Polka Dot Dot Dot's eclectic, spare, and primitive sound, rooted as much in old-timey music as it is in '60s girl groups, nods to artists as disparate as Bon Iver, the All Girl Summer Fun Band, and P:ano.
Jordan O'Jordan, Onyx of Olympia, and Miss Spindleheart, all natives of Olympia, WA, formed the group in early 2007 during a stint in Auckland, New Zealand. Their debut full-length, Love Letter to New Zealand, was released on Bicycle Records that year. The band went on a brief hiatus soon after the album was released as O'Jordan pursued a doctoral program. Polka Dot Dot Dot's second release, the Spring of Alchemy and Amory EP, came out in 2008. ~ Margaret Reges
