Popular in their native Singapore, the Old Kings are a folk-rock band with ties to the United States.
Named after Route 6A in Cape Cod, MA, the band was formed in Singapore in 1997 by songwriter Patrick Linton (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Brian Crabtree (guitar, bass), who were teenagers at the time and were enrolled as students at the Singapore American School. A new band lineup was assembled for each album release, namely The Old Kings (2000), Going to the Opera (2001), Welcome to the Inn of Happiness (2003), and Divine Society (2005), as Linton moved back and forth between Singapore and the United States. ~ Jason Birchmeier
