Los Angeles-based musical collective the Mowgli's blend the Laurel Canyon folk and pop traditions of bands like the Byrds and the Beach Boys with the quirky modern indie pop of bands like Fun.
and Grouplove. Formed in 2010 around singer/songwriter Colin Dieden, the Mowgli's are a large ensemble that originally included members David Applebaum, Spencer Trent, Matt Di Panni, Josh Hogan, Andy Warren, Katie Earl, and Michael Vincze (who left the group in 2014). In 2012, they released their full-length studio debut, Sound the Drum, along with an EP, Love's Not Dead. They quickly returned a year later with their sophomore album, Waiting for the Dawn. In 2015, they delivered their third full-length album, Kids in Love, which featured production from Captain Cuts as well as Matt Radosevich. The Mowgli's continued to tour, hit the festival circuit, and in late 2015, supported the humanitarian organization The International Rescue Committee, releasing the single "Room for All of Us" for the charity. Following the departure of guitarist Spencer Trent, the band worked with producer Mike Green (All Time Low, Paramore) to record their fourth LP, 2016's Where'd Your Weekend Go? ~ James Christopher Monger
