In February 2009 The Hellfreaks were founded.
The band's history started already in 2007 when the incorporators were playing in a surf-psycho band (Freaky Tiki as guitarist and Shakey Sue as drummer). In 2009, after a plenty of gigs they decided to turn their musical direction into a harder school which is mainly based on elements of psychobilly, horrorpunk and metal. So they formed together with a drummer and an upright bassist The Hellfreaks.

In summer 2009 they recorded their first demo. At the end of the same year the office for the National Contemporary Light Music Culture in Hungary invited applications for light music and motion picture. Beside The Hellfreaks more than 180 bands from all over the country had applied. The Hellfreaks have won the competition and gained a significant amount to make a videoclip for the song „Boogieman” which has today outreached the number of 1,000,000 views on youtube.

In 2010 the first album Hell, Sweet Hell was released. In summer 2012 the second release Circus of Shame came out, which was issued (besides the CD) in a limited edition on red vinyl. The second video Godless Girl's Fun was released at May 31, 2013.
