This San Francisco-based Latino duo, comprised of John "Milo" Pro and Octaviano Silva, mix Latin and reggae rhythms with elements of dance and R&B.
Silva, the son of Nicaraguan emigrants, was influenced by Stevie Wonder, Prince and the vocal group Take 6. His partner was born in Texas, falling in love with doo wop and other traditional vocal sounds. They met in San Francisco while working in the same studio; realizing their voices harmonized well together, Pro and Silva began playing clubs across California. Their independent single, "Treasure of My Heart," received play on Bay Area radio stations and in dance clubs. The duo signed with Warner Bros. and released their debut album, Anything You Want, in 1995. Soon after the album, a six-piece band was added to the lineup for the tour. ~ John Bush
