Randy Wood is an enrolled member of the Saddle Lake Cree Tribe of Alberta Canada. He is also a founding member of the renowned drum group “Northern Cree”. Randy was the lead singer up until 1994 when he got married and moved to St. George, Utah with his wife Jetta, and started his solo music career in 1997 with Roy Track. Roy produced his first album ”Songs That Make You Want To Snag” which launched his solo music career. Then in 1999 Randy joined with Canyon Records who produced 6 more albums:

Randy has received a nomination for “The Gift of Life” in the Aboriginal Album of the Year category of the 2012 JUNO Awards and one in 2003 for Best Male Artist for his album “Round Dance Blues”. Randy is also a two time Grammy nominee for his album, “Round Dance The Night Away” and “Our Love Will Never Die”, a winner for Best Traditional Vocal at the Indian Summer Music Awards (ISMA) in 2005 for his album “There Are No Goodbyes”, and a Winner for Best Traditional Recording at the 2011 NAMA for his album “The Gift of Life”.

Randy has done some modeling for the famous renowned artist Don Crowley who is a member of the “Tucson 7,” an informal group of artists who all began their careers in commercial art and illustration and have made the successful transition to Western fine art.
