Harpist/vocalist Órla Fallon (aka Órla) was born in the village of Knockananna, in County Wicklow, Ireland on August 24, 1974.
Fallon released her debut album, The Water Is Wide, in 2000, followed by multiple projects with various members of Clannad, including the Duggans and Moya Brennan. In 2005, she joined the Celtic-new age-adult contemporary pop outfit Celtic Woman, with whom she would go on to record five internationally best-selling albums before leaving in 2009 to spend time with her family and resume her solo career. Her second album, Distant Shore, arrived later that year, followed by Órla Fallon's Celtic Christmas in 2010 and My Land in 2011. ~ James Christopher Monger
