Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, noise pop duo PS I Love You formed in 2006 as an outlet for songwriter Paul Saulnier.
Originally writing songs on guitar, pedal organ, and a Casio keyboard, Saulnier eventually made a rhythmic upgrade, recruiting drummer Benjamin Nelson to replace his less than trusty keyboard on percussion. Together, the pair created a manic sound that’s atmospheric while remaining almost relentlessly bright, allowing waves of melody to force their way through dense layers of reverb and rumbling organ. PS I Love You released a handful of singles before making their full-length debut in 2010 with Meet Me at the Muster Station, released on Paper Bag Records. The Polaris Music Prize-nominated Death Dreams dropped in 2012, followed in 2014 by the duo's third studio long-player for Paper Bag, For Those Who Stay. ~ Gregory Heaney
