Combining the raw power energy of punk rock with the seductive soul of early heavy metal and hard rock, Plan Nine follow a trail of their own within the successful Swedish alternative rock & roll scene.
Forming in 1996 in the little Swedish town of Herrljunga, Plan Nine count on with the efforts of a four-piece team, lead by Reiner, along with Thomas, Petri, and Jonny. During the subsequent two years, the quartet rehearsed intensively before deciding to record its first demo tape. In 1998, We Bite Records, a German record label, decided to sign on the crew, offering them the chance to record their first disc. One year after, Plan Nine offered its first record, the EP Dead Inside, that ultimately enjoyed raving reviews, namely from Kerrang! magazine. After meeting with producer Chips Kiesbye in 2000, whose past working experiences included bands like the Hellacopters and the Nomads, Plan Nine went back to the studio to work on their debut full-length disc. Following a year of intense studio work, the Swedes finally issued Generation Action, their first album, in 2001, trough the Swedish label Feedback Boogie. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges
