Indra Dunis (of Dynasty and Numbers) and Aaron Coyes were bandmates in the Bay Area band Rahdunes before forming a home-recording project using a drum machine, a Hammond organ, a guitar, and thick bass grooves. Two years after releasing their debut, Imaginary Falcons, the follow-up album, 936, was released on noise-heavy label Not Not Fun to glowing reviews and a widening fan base. The group's momentum led them to signing with Domino Records subsidiary label Weird World, who re-released a deluxe edition of 936 in November of 2011. 2012 saw the release of the duo's third album, Lucifer, a more professionally recorded album which expanded their sound and included guest vocalizations from their very newborn son Mikko. They stripped even more of the lo-fi sheen from their next offering, 2014's more clearly recorded and beat-minded full-length Cosmic Logic. ~ Jason Lymangrover
