Formed back in the mid-nineties, the band boasts a great longevity in the underground metal scene always carrying on a strong live activity to promote its music throughout Italy and Europe.

After having self-released three promotional tapes between 1997 and 1999, a self produced album in 2000 (Ecforia : Mental Hallucination Device) and a further EP in 2004, finally the band signs its fist deal with “X-treme Rising Records” for the production of a full-length released in 2006. The album titled “The slow fade of loving things”, produced and recorded by Frank Andiver at Zenith Studio in Lucca (Italy) and distributed by SELF, meets a good success in the Italian metal scene receiving also positive feedbacks abroad.

In 2007, OSIAN enters again Zenith Studio to record a new whole album but after the recording sessions the band decides to freeze its activity, entering de facto in a stand-by period.

By the end of the 2012 and the beginning of the 2013, the band gets back on the track choosing to rework the old recorded stuff with the aim to produce a 6 tracks EP that could in some way illustrate the actual essence of the band. Right from the start the band chooses to experience a full analog sound for this release, aiming to achieve a louder, warmer and dynamic sound, surely different from past band’s productions: a new sonic challenge, in which aggressive guitars merge with dark-gothic melodies and electronic hints.

Actually OSIAN signed a deal with SLIPTRICK RECORDS for the worldwide release of its new EP “Rhizome”. The six tracks EP will be available on all major digital stores on 31st, March 2014.
