So-Cal metalcore group No Bragging Rights was formed in 1999 by vocalist Mike Perez at the tender age of 15.
Between 2001 and 2004, he and his group started as a self-contained unit, putting out two demos and an EP on their own. The band rotated members for most of the 2000s, releasing the debut full-length Because You Believe in Something Beyond Them, and then signing with Pure Noise for The Consequences of Dreams. Following 2011’s Illuminator, the band’s fourth bassist amicably left the group. In 2012, the line-up was finalized with bassist Ryan Warrell, drummer Martin Alcedo, and guitarists Christian Lee and Daniel Garrow for Cycles. ~ Jason Lymangrover
