  • Made my third consecutive doubleheader fishing trip for this week today. Caught nothing in the 56 degree Delaware River behind Arm and Hammer ballpark in Trenton, NJ, on the incoming tide this morning. The river was flooded and very swift. Many Canada geese, mallards and double crested cormorants were nearby. Nobody else was fishing. Went ultralight jigging in 66 degree Turnmill Pond in the Colliers Mills WMA this evening on a cool, sunny day with a strong west wind. Many people were there. Tried a new spot on the first point east of my old spot. A kayak flyrodder was leaving when I arrived. He caught and released 12 fish. I caught and released 3 pickerel and a 10.5” yellow perch with a white twister tail jig on 4 lb test line. Lost two fish. One hit a plug. Took a pic of a pickerel with the Cult of the Alpaca in the background. Wore my new LaCrosse neoprene chest waders. They are great. Heard a lot of shooting from the shooting range.
