Born and raised in the steel town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Glasmire received his first guitar as a Christmas present when he was ten, but it wasn’t until he was in college working toward a business administration degree that he began playing music and working on songs in earnest, and he was soon picking up gigs wherever he could in the local coffee shops, expanding things until he was playing regularly at music festivals, clubs, and other venues in the Eastern Pennsylvania area. Glasmire spent the 1980s bouncing between Bethlehem and New York City, playing such legendary stages as the Bottom Line, Folk City, and the Speakeasy, and recorded and released an early album, Sad Songs. He also released an EP, The Sun, the Moon and the Seasons, recorded with three friends, which sold well in the New York area. He had two singles, “Hey Girl” and “Can You Feel It,” released through a deal with Comstock Records, do well in the European market. Glasmire relocated to Nashville in 1995, eager to work with the best songwriters and session players in the business, and he continued to play out whenever and wherever he could. He made contacts, networked, and continued to play, write, and perform in the Nashville area, but he was spending increasing amounts of time in Texas, eventually moving to Dallas, where he again began working in the local clubs and venues. But he still had ties to Nashville, and he returned there to record All of My Heart, which was released on Glasmire's own Traceway Music label in 2000. Scrapbook followed in 2006, with the EP Life Goes On arriving in 2009, all recorded in Nashville and released on the Traceway imprint. ~ Steve Leggett
