Kenny Holland is a pop musician and actor who took to songwriting from a notably young age.
Born in Michigan and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, he began performing publicly at the age of eight, and earned a significant local fan base and a reputation for melodic hooks by his mid-teens. His first solo album, a set of rock-tinged teen pop titled Heart & Keys, was self-released in 2012. Holland took to social networking to post a series of live covers of hit songs that eventually accumulated views in the millions, and netted opening spots on tours for the likes of Aaron Carter and Demi Lovato. In 2015, he formed the Balcony with Wesley Stromberg of Emblem3, and the duo released the single "Fire" that summer. His own single, the pop-rap tune "Lifeline," followed later that year. It appeared on the EP B.O.A.T.S. (Based on a True Story), self-released in May 2016. In the meantime, Holland relocated to Los Angeles and won the lead role in an indie sci-fi musical film, Saturday's Warrior, which opened in limited release around the same time. ~ Marcy Donelson
