Mirror of Deception was formed in 1990 as is one of Europe's longest running traditional doom metal bands.
The band has toured in most European countries and released several demos, EPs and split-releases and 4 full-length albums to date. The "A Smouldering Fire" double album which marked the band's 20th anniversary was released in 2010. After a two year hiatus and line-up changes the band returned in 2014.
