Medras is a perfect anagram of the word Dreams
The name Medras derives from the word dreams, making it a perfect anagram. It is this that describes his music when he first started in 2001 with his first release, “Pipe Dreams” as part of a compilation Iodium2: Underwater Voyagers. The transition from the electric guitar and Thrash metal into electronic rhythms with ambient sounds chill out was complete. Just as the anagram suggests the music takes you on a journey with a blend of styles taking you into the unimaginable space where dreams are made of. Each piece consists of different musical ideologies and influences without necessarily resembling or sounding familiar.

Having been part of many compilations, his first complete release was in 2008 joining Timewarp Records, with a digital EP “I’m Back”. In 2009 he teamed up with Turkish singer Zoi Diva to release with great success “Tricky Love” part of the digital EP “Tricky.”

The song caught the ears of Sony in Germany where it subsequently became part of their double compilation CD "Campari Red Passion Lounge."

Producing various remixes and participating in many compilations kept him in the limelight until a new project was born. In 2011 he started showing us his true colours and potential with the release of “In your Myth.”

This release brought together a wide scope of music varieties through different musical instruments transforming into something fresh. The track “Difference” caught everyone by storm with great reviews and airplay across the globe. Through this came a collaboration with Lusty Apricot a violinist and Anastasios Katsaris a saxophonist still holding strong to date.

In 2012 he completed the second part of “In your Myth” which as a whole consisted of ten original pieces and a couple of remixes blending styles like lounge, chill out, funk, big beat and tech rhythms. After many outstanding performances a request came through from the Athens Planetarium where in 2012 Medras showed us his true potential in guitar ambient-space music.

The sold out show received great reviews for its surreal visuals in combinations with the live musical instruments and will remain an unforgettable experience for those who experienced it live.

After many years of collaborating with Timewarp and Kraak Records,

Medras signed over with Hunchback Records and is looking to release his new work at the end of 2013. His new work will portray an enriched and matured musical style with a lot of violin melodies in an album taken from dreams.
