Over the last five years they’ve worked tirelessly through endless touring and three full-length albums to build a loyal and enthusiastic following across the world. Sticking to steadfastly DIY ethics, the band have self recorded all their material to date and aspire to be as self-sufficient as possible.The band released their debut four-track EP entitled ‘Japanese Spy Transcript’ on their own label, Robot Needs Home Records in early 2006 which was later picked up by Japan’s XTAL Recordings (Caspian, Yndi Halda) and released in an extend form in August of the same year.

Nottingham’s Field Records released the bands debut album ‘Not For Want Of Trying’ in May 2008. The record was Huw Stephen’s album of the week on his radio 1 show in its week of release and received glowing reviews from RockSound (8/10), Kerrang (4/5) and Drowned In Sound (8/10) amongst many others.

Just a year later in June 2009, ‘Sing The Word Hope In Four-Part Harmony’ was released to similar critical acclaim, once again self produced and released through Field Records. The album was written to be something of a ‘live’ record and extensive touring followed. Over the course of the following two years they performed relentlessly across the UK, Europe and Asia.

For their third full length, ‘I Was Here For A Moment, Then I Was Gone’ Jamie Ward, who had relatively recently joined them on bass for the Sing The Word Hope tours, took over production duties, marking a step up in their recorded sonics. The album featured live strings for the first time, and a more electronic direction. The record was released in May 2011 and was praised by the music press including glowing reviews from Rocksound, The NME, Artrocker, Kerrang and Metal Hammer. It was played in it’s entirity on Kerrang radio twice, and gained Maybeshewill ‘Band of the Week’ on RockSound.tv an unprecidented two weeks running.

The band have toured through the UK, Europe, Russia, China and Japan with the likes of 65daysofstatic, &U&I, ASIWYFA, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Cats and Cats and Cats, Earthtone9, Lite, Long Distance Calling and The Ocean (amongst many others) and appeared at 2000 Trees, ArcTanGent, Brainwash, Damnation, Dot to Dot, Dour, The Great Escape, GreenvilleHit The Deck, Live at Leeds, Summer Sundae and Truck festivals.
