Established in 2002, MapleMusic Recordings is a full service music company offering in-house marketing, promotion, publicity, A&R, creative services, publishing and licensing to a roster that encompasses both emerging talent and established artists.
The label is home to domestic signings such as Joel Plaskett, Kathleen Edwards, Martha Wainwright, and Chantal Kreviazuk, as well as high-profile international acts including Alabama Shakes, Silversun Pickups, My Morning Jacket, Infected Mushroom and Radiohead.MMR is the Canadian representative of Downtown Records, Dangerbird Records and ATO Records, founded by Dave Matthews, and is focused on licensing repertoire for the Canadian territory and facilitating international opportunities for our roster.
With distribution handled by Universal Music Canada and MapleCore’s own Fontana North, MapleMusic Recordings combines the personalized, artist-friendly approach of a boutique record company with the reach of a major label.
MapleMusic Recordings was named Independent Record Label of the Year at the Canadian Music Industry Awards from 2004 to 2007.
