Los Terribles del Norte became a major number in the traditional Mexican music scene when the band achieved a nomination for a Grammy award in 1993 after three years of playing the most popular local rhythms. In 1996, their first greatest-hits album was issued as Disco de Oro: 20 Grandes Exitos.
Soon, the successful Colgado de un Arbol allowed them to get a second nomination. Los Terribles del Norte celebrated their tenth career anniversary with the release of Décimo Aniversario. ~ Drago Bonacich
