Argentinean ska-punk band formed in 1986 by a group of young people just to have fun and play at school parties.
Their ability to travel through different styles from rockabilly to romantic ballads and the impressive number of good musicians in the band putting their ideas together made los Autenticos Decadentes a very popular local act. Vocalist Gustavo Parisi, guitarists Jorge Serrano, Gustavo Montecchia, and Diego Demarco, bassist Pablo Armesto, percussionists Gastón Bernardou, Martin Lorenzo, and Eduardo Trípodi, saxophonist Pablo Cabanchiek, trombonist Daniel Zimbello, trumpet player Guillermo Eijo, and drummer Martin Pajarola recorded El Milagro Argentino in 1990. Los Autenticos Decadentes got a record deal in 1991 with BMG, releasing the album Supersonico and 1992's El Nuevo Milagro which includes the hit single "Siga el Baile." Their second hit came with 1995's Mi Vida Loca. The song "La Guitarra" showed up in the top of the major local music charts. In May 1996, the band started touring Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, México, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. In 1997, Cualquiera Puede Cantar was released followed by 2000's Hoy Trasnoche. ~ Drago Bonacich
