b. Elizabeth Horsman, 26 November 1975, Ipswich, Suffolk, England.
Singer-songwriter Horsman first gained recognition with the release of her catchy, radio friendly debut, ‘Heavy High’. The album of the same name followed shortly in April 1999, and although it achieved moderate success, it perhaps underachieved for a record containing so many slick pop songs. Critics drew comparison to Aimee Mann’s Whatever, in addition to contemporary pop artists such as KT Tunstall and Natalie Imbruglia. Having parted ways with her former label Food, Horsman released her follow-up, Roaming, on her own label in July 2002. She is married to renowned pop music producer Mike Spencer, who has worked with high profile artists such as Jamiroquai, Kylie Minogue and Beverley Knight. Horsman now primarily writes material for other artists, including Natasha Bedingfield, Appleton, The The, and various soundtracks for television and cinema. Horsman is also a qualified psychotherapist.
