Spanish pop/rock band la Habitación Roja debuted in 1995 with a demo called Play Pop, Vol.
1, which soon came in first place at Circuit Rock 100, a local music contest; they also released a CD single featuring "Celia" and "Amanecer" and released an EP called Popanrol, on Grabaciones En El Mar, in May of 1997. After joining the Urban High Festival, opening for local Dover and British Prodigy, La Habitación Roja made their self-titled debut album, climbing on local charts with "¿Y?" In January of 1999, Mi Habitación EP got ahead of the band's following album Largometraje, recorded during June and July, that same year. ~ Drago Bonacich
