"We work ourselves wretched for one old wood coffin, if life doesn't get you, love will finish you off" sings K.S. Rhoads on his debut album Dead Language, which American Songwriter Magazine declares, " is an exhibition in style, grace, and limitless possibilities.
" His music has been called "...

a masterful marriage of indie-pop, orchestral, and american folk." His lush string arrangements recall Impressionist composers, and his lyrics recall F. Scott Fitzgerald. His live performances are rapturous and sporadic, usually with a string and vocal section. in lieu of a band, he creates live sound on sound, layering multiple instruments and voices, by way of looping pedals. He produces, scores, and writes for many other artists as well. He has performed with, and written for, the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the prestigious TED talks, and performed on Late Night, The Late Late Show and The Tonight Show with his girlfriend and occasional collaborator Erin McCarley. He is also the bandleader for the much heralded artist collective known as Ten Out Of Tenn. Rhoads' second album The Wilderness, released in March of 2013, is a beautiful, and expansive collection of songs dealing with the complexity of mankind's place in the universe. He is touring the album in the Fall of 2013.
