She quickly moved to Nashville and began growing her roots in music city. Over the next 13 years, Kree has worked her way in Nashville writing with some of the top writers in the business, singing demos and backups for various signed artists, and performing whenever and wherever she could.
Kree was urged by her sister to audition for American Idol in 2012. She wowed fans and the judges during the season with her effortless vocals, moving song choices and calm demeanor. Randy Jackson said she was "amazing", Keith Urban was seen shaking the goose bumps from his arms and saying her voice was "flawless" and she even brought Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey to tears. It was no surprise that Kree ended up in the final two of the show.
Kree was shortly booked for a side stage performance slot at the CMT Awards where she sang her finale single, "All Cried Out". Along with CMT, she also fulfilled her lifelong dream of performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage where Keith Urban introduced her to stage and then joined her for one of her songs. During the CMA Festival, Kree also made numerous appearances at the CMT Autograph signing, the CMT Fan social Event and even fulfilled a request by one of her Idols, Wynonna Judd to join her onstage for 2 songs. Kree is currently on the American Idol Live tour.
