Knight School are a Brooklyn-based indie pop group consisting of frontman Kevin "K.
Night" Alvir (formerly of the Lil Hospital), bassist Chris Mess, and drummer El Gold. Together they make scuffed-up, shambling, scribbly tunes that bring to mind bands like Rocketship, Tullycraft, and Guided by Voices. Their debut full-length, The Poor and Needy Need to Party, was released on the U.K. label Lost Music Records in early 2009. ~ Margaret Reges
