French deep house project Klingande began in 2012 when Cédric Steinmyller became inspired by the music of Swedish House Mafia.
Describing his piano- and saxophone-heavy sound as "melodic house," he released his first single, "Punga," online to positive feedback, but it was follow-up single "Jubel" that attracted wider attention. The song reached the Top Five of the French singles chart as well as that of other European countries including the U.K. and Sweden, and was eventually certified gold or platinum in seven countries. Both singles were co-written by Edgar Catry, but Klingande's subsequent work was solely produced by Steinmyller. Klingande's third single, "Riva (Start the Game)," featuring a harmonica melody and vocals by French singer Broken Back, was released in March of 2015. ~ Aneet Nijjar
