The state of Florida rarely offers anything of great worth to the cause of rock & roll -- unless it be in its most extreme arenas, such as death metal, sludge, or hardcore.
The last surely applies to Tallahassee's Kids Like Us, who got their start in 2003, but found their inspiration in hardcore and crossover's golden age, nearly 20 years prior. Also keen to have a little fun while they were at it, vocalist Lars Lundquist, guitarists Clint and Stephen, bassist Brandon, and drummer Jordan issued their first LP, The 80's Are Dead, through tiny Knife or Death Records in 2004, then graduated to Eulogy Recordings for 2005's sophomore blast Outta Control. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
