Australian singer/songwriter Julia Stone spent her formative years in the city of Newport (just north of Sydney) with her brother Angus.
Having been raised in a musical household (her parents performed as a folk duo), it wasn't long before Julia and her brother began playing as well. The duo released a pair of critically acclaimed albums in 2007 and 2010 that showcased Julia's haunting, breathy vocal style and composition skills. Stone embarked on a solo career in 2012 with the release of The Memory Machine, a dark and dreamy collection of ten original songs produced by Stone, Keiran Kelly, and Brad Albetta. ~ James Christopher Monger.
