A well-known figure in the world of house music and DJ culture, Judge Jules (born Julius O'Riordan, October 26, 1966) got his career rolling in 1987.
Throughout his career, he maintained a high profile with his radio program, his frequent appearances at some of Europe's leading nightspots, and with nearly 40 mix CDs on a number of different labels. The award winning Jules first came to prominence on BBC Radio 1, where he hosted a radio show that was broadcast from 1:00-3:00 am every Saturday. This would later be transformed into an international broadcast, entitled The Global Warm Up. Jules was also a regular at the seasonal events in Ibiza, with his regular engagement at the Eden club night "Judgement Sunday." In the world of the recording artist, his resume was not as long, but his single with Paul Masterson (with whom he recorded under the pseudonym Hi-Gate) entitled "Pitchin," won Jules a spot on the hit parade television show, Top of the Pops in 2000. In 2006, Jules added to his vast discography of mix CDs for labels such as Ministry of Sound with his own work, the full length platter Proven Worldwide. In addition to keeping up appearances all over Britain and Europe, Judge Jules released the single "Laid Bare" in 2008. ~ Chris True
