Jordan E. Spivack: I'm an award-winning composer/lyricist who lives in Nanuet, NY, where I am a full time private piano and music theory teacher.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, I started piano lessons at age 5 after my parents Sophie and Gershon discovered I had the gift of music composition. At 10 years old I studied piano and music theory (for 3 years) at Cornell University. I was a member of the rock band The Creation while in HS in Cortland, NY. After receiving a BM degree from Ithaca College, I went on to receive my MM in composition, theory and piano from Indiana U. Since then I have written many pop songs, classical, new age and jazz tunes, 2 musicals for children, and the opera: "A Better Way", with libretto by Joseph P. Lanzone. I am also the composer/lyricist of The Red Ribbon Theme Song: “Hands Across The Universe”, which has been learned and performed by over 18,000 students K–12 in New York State in the past 18 years. My original solo instrumental CDs include "Shimmer", "Think Lovely Thoughts", “My Provincetown","World Trade Center Suite", "Symmetry", "Pictures Of Me", and "Red Ribbon Collection".
