To say that this artist should not be confused with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin solves only half the probable problems when the performer of this name goes out on the road with his brother, drummer Tom Jones.
The pair of guys whose names make them sound like really famous people hail from the Appalachian Mountains, Georgia to be exact, and are noted for the immense amount of charity performing work they have been involved with in their neck of the woods. In fact, it is likely that John Paul Jones of Georgia does more benefit gigs in one month than the famous British guy of the same name pulls off in a decade.

A Jones solo album entitled Shiny Eyes was released on the Southern performers' own label in 2001, marking some three decades in the music business. Besides the aforementioned sibling, Jones' musical brotherhood includes drummer Bob Burns, the former member of Lynyrd Skynryd who played on records such as "Free Bird," as well as guitarists Doug Hogg and Jack White. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
