Joel Elizalde is the son of Lalo El Gallo, a major figure in banda music.
Elizalde was born and raised in Guadalajara and he began performing professonally once he reached his teens. He not only sang, but he wrote songs, as well. Elizalde began his career in 1995 with the release of Corridos Pesados. He continued to tour and release albums throughout the '90s. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
