Jennifer Thomas is a classically trained pianist, with the violin as a secondary instrument, who appeared as soloist in concertos by Prokofiev and MacDowell.
She performed with orchestras and ensembles in Washington, Oregon, and Utah. In 2004, Thomas began composing music in a style combining romantic piano melodies -- both original and borrowed from the classics -- and sweeping instrumentals, sometimes with the sounds of world music for additional color. The first album of her music, Key of Sea, was released in 2007, and led Thomas into some film and commercial work. 2012's Illumination is the third album of her original compositions. ~ Patsy Morita
