Irij is modern one woman folk music. Brought to life by Meri Tadić in autumn 2006. Her self titled debut Ep was enthusiastically received by various individuals through different genres and countries of this planet.

Irij is based upon traditional lyrics, customs and also music from Croatia.

The fascination for handed down lyrics and stories grows naturally within centuries and has always been a never ending source of knowledge, fun, amazement, sarcasm, pristine wisdom, simple pleasure and music, of course.

The music ranges from mellow, dark and meditative pieces to electronic influenced songs and instrumentals which might even make you dance. Although the Ep, released on Ahnstern, was dreamy and dark the upcoming full lenght album is holding a whole new way of bringing Irij and it's stories into the modern world!
