A German thrash and speed metal outfit that drew many comparisons to many eighties metal acts, Hellish Crossfire formed in Nurnberg, Bavaria in 2002 when former Gardens of Gehenna guitarist Iron Incubus (akaChristian Wachter) joined forces with drummer Iron Tyrant (aka Thomas Werner).
Rounding out the first line up of the band would be vocalist Henrich and bassist Siggi (aka Don Promillo). The new band released their first demo in 2004, entitled Unholy Trinity, and followed that with a similar release, Slaves of the Burning Pentagram, in 2005. The only glitch in the band's momentum came when the vocalist spot came up vacant after the departure of Heinrich. It was eventually filled by Patrick Kremer. Kremer was not to last too long, however, and in 2003, the vocalist vacancy problem was taken care of when drummer Iron Tyrant (Werner) made the switch. The drummer's stool was then taken by Possessor (aka Patrick Tauch). Signed to I Hate Records, the band released its first album, also entitled Slaves of the Burning Pentagram soon after. ~ Chris True
